IrieJade Beauty was founded by makeup artist Denise Wedderburn. Growing up in a Jamaican household, Denise inquired a natural ability of being artistic through her cultural background. Living in Houston, TX, Denise was able to engage in every artistic venture available to her and her sisters. She played piano, sang in her church choir, participated in many art classes and events, and danced for a local dance company and on the high school drill team. 

While obtaining her Masters of Arts degree at Texas State University - San Marcos, Denise began her career as a makeup artist working at the MAC counter in Austin, Texas. Even from early childhood, Denise always had a strong passion for expressing herself creatively and growing up in a Jamaican household only fueled her talents as an artist. In 2011, she relocated to Houston and quickly became the preferred choice for wedding and special events makeup and grew that to a thriving business that kept her busy every weekend. In 2016, Denise began coaching with Sonia and, together, they crafted her next business venture the Artist to Artist Mentorship Program that she launched in 2017. In 2018 she partnered with her sister to open the Shear Glow Beauty Studio where they provide makeup and hair services. Today, you can find Denise traveling the world with her destination brides, mentoring Bridal Makeup Artists and running a succeesful salon business.
